Baby Care Basics

A BRAND NEW HAIRSTYLE, THAT’S WHAT I NEEDED! I just wanted a new haircut. Since I gave birth, this is what I have been wishing for. At this moment and time, I am through with long hairs. When my mom went by to visit us, I took the opening to get myself a haircut. Being free from the baby is not an everyday luxury. Even before my mother could fully warm up in her stay, I practically left the my baby to her care, giving her no chance to disagree. While my hair is being cut, I read a baby magazine to pass away the time. I am doing the crossword puzzle when I noticed the free baby items promo. I was intrigued by the advert that I filled up the information on the application form. I went back to my crossword game and forgot all about it.

I arrived at our home feeling really refreshed. It made me feel like I am a new woman. My mother went home already. I took the time to finish off the household chores. My ever-caring Mom, took care of some of the chores. It gave me the lift to finish the jobs on time. I have more than enough time to check on our supplies and also the baby needs. I noticed that our stock is almost gone. I am having a hard time managing our budget. We have no more money in reserve for the baby. Our budget is no budget at all. My baby is also affected by it. Admittedly, there have been quite a number of times already that we run out of milk. I have not been able to buy her new clothes. I really need a break like some free baby items or anything.

Now, how can I solve our money problems? That’s what keeping me occupied the couple of days. The doorbell rang as I was searching for ways to augment our income. “Now who could that be?”, I told myself. My husband is not due to come home in another three hours. I am not expecting any visit from anyone. I stole a glance at the window. I saw a man, with a cap, standing there, with things in his arm. “Oh, no”, I told myself, “another salesman”. Definitely, I have no time for all of this. Irritable, I opened the door. I resolve to say my goodbye to the man as quickly as possible. As luck would have it, before I can say anything, he gave me that smile and handed me the free baby items. It appears a good samaritan at the parlor, sent my registration form. I happily signed the acknowledgement receipt and he left. My prayers have been answered. I have milk and a lot of baby items for my little girl. Thank you God, and said a little prayer of thanks.
