So if you are debating the possibilities of gifts for an upcoming baby shower, or you yourself are with child, you might consider a few of these options as a sound place to begin your purchases.
You will find that there is no shortage of what other people might consider the most important things to get right away. You will likely determine on your own that all of the below listed items will benefit you to purchase early.
The obvious starting point for this list is a crib. You have to have someplace for your newborn to sleep. This also allows for you to require them to sleep on their own (most of the time) from the day you bring them home from the hospital. You can save a little bit of money by opting to purchase a convertible baby crib, which has several practical functions once they stop needing a crib.
The second thing on this list is a bassinet. This allows the baby to be close to you while it rests throughout the day. This is also a great asset towards promoting the baby to think independently and self soothe. The beauty of a bassinet is that it is a lightweight and portable crib essentially that can be wherever it is convenient for you.
A car seat is the next thing on the list because there is no getting around having one of these. You literally cannot come home from the hospital without the okay from a medical professional who has determined that your child is secure in a car seat. So there is no mistaking that these are important. I personally prefer the look and function of a Britax car seat, but some other popular brands are: Graco, Evenflo and Cosco.
Finally, the last thing on the list is a stroller. This is what I call an energy saving device. While your child might not be all that heavy initially, they will be. And unless you want to carry them everywhere, you should invest in something that you both will enjoy. They get to ride in style, and all you have to do is propel them forward. While there are many styles and designs available that are sure to catch your eye, I personally rather enjoy the simplicity and style of a Perego stroller.
