Baby Care Basics – Bottle Feeding
21st January 2009 by Babies No CommentsThe research states that it’s always better to adapt the breastfeeding technique rather than providing some other form of food. But in some cases it is found to be unavoidable when the baby mother is no more or when they are forced to go to work etc. In such a case then the milk has to be fed through bottles. The bottles which are used for feeding must be very clean and out of dirt. The nipples which are rubber products should be replaced constantly as the chances for degradation to occur are more when exposed to high temperature substance or heat. Each time immediately feeding the milk clean the bottle with warm water and cleansing soaps. The nipples made out of silicone since it imparts both clarity and are not hazardous for health.
If the material used for preparing those plastic bottles and the silicone nibs are not properly designed then it will lead to problems like diarrhea, vomiting, severe stomach pain, some times allergies like that. If the baby’s source of food is only milk that is after the first week end to three or four weeks minimum of 6 times daily with a quantity of 125 ml of milk is essential to meet the need. The feeding time may vary from child to child and their mood. They will drink it fast if they are very hungry and if they are playful then the time period may extent up to an hour. Hold them in position and never leave the bottle in their hand until they are little matured.
